What are the steps to travel to Japan?

I am currently 16, and plan to visit and travel Japan when I am 18. There will be a group of 5 including myself, all who are 18. What are the requirements for entry and stay and all that? I'm a complete beginner to international travel.

1. Get a US passport. 2. Book a plane ticket. There are no visa requirements to visit Japan from most western countries. A US passport allows you to visit (but not work) for up to 90 days. You'll also want to save up your money, learn a bit of Japanese, and get some good tourist books and/or videos. Hotels, food, train tickets, etc. are extremely expensive there.

Passport, round trip ticket, enough money to support your stay. That's it.

In order to travel to Japan, here are some important documents that you will need: 1. A valid passport 2. A tourist visa. (if you are from the US/EU, you do not need to apply for a Visa at the Consulate) 3. A round-trip air ticket. 4. Buy a JR Rail Pass. It will save you a lot of money on traveling expenses. Before leaving for Japan, you might want to make reservations at hostels or hotels. Some hostels that are good are Sakura House, or Khaosan.

You need a passport, identity card and a return ticket area.

1. Your passport. 2. Japan Visa(check if you need it). 3. Round ticket to Japan. 4. Accommodation and activity plans. 5. Enough fund or credit card.
