NERF Vortex Line: $9.99-$44.99
Those of us who grew up with Nerf products remember them as dart-shooting toys, and if you happened to be a younger sibling,or a pet, they were definitely something to hide from. Nowadays those harmless foam darts have been replaced with projectile discs with the Nerf Vortex line. The discs are still harmless, technically, but they do shoot at faster speeds and pick up even more when they catch the air.

The line varies from a C battery powered, scope-having monstrosity to a tame single-shot handgun. Both Gizmodo and Arstechnica did product reviews on this line (check out the second review for some videos) and came to similar conclusions, the shooters make for a better fight than standard dart guns. However the discs do sting more, so be careful with kids and shoot below the waist and away from sensitive areas. Also, from personal experience, try not to shoot your sister when shes sleeping, its traumatizing.
